Job Identification

We are looking for a GCP Cloud Engineer to be a part of our Infrastructure and Technology team located in İstanbul.

What We Expect

Infrastructure Design and Implementation:

  • Design, deploy, and manage GCP infrastructure components such as compute instances, storage, networking, and security services.    Implement solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform, Deployment Manager) to automate provisioning and configuration.

System Administration and Monitoring:

  • Perform system administration tasks including configuration management, patching, and troubleshooting for GCP environments.
  • Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and implement proactive measures to optimize infrastructure.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement security best practices and controls to protect GCP environments from unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and compliance risks.
  • Conduct regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensure adherence to security policies and standards.

Deployment and Automation:

  • Manage CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications and updates on GCP using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Cloud Build.
  • Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reliability of GCP operations.

Collaboration and Documentation:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide technical guidance on GCP capabilities and limitations.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience designing and implementing GCP solutions in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of GCP services (Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, VPC, IAM, etc.) and their practical applications.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Stackdriver, Prometheus) and logging solutions (e.g., ELK stack).
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO27001).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Developer).
  • Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible).
  • Experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, BigQuery).
