Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

Contributes to corporate efficiency and values by book-keeping and controlling data entry of invoices for samples and expenses and recording customer accounts on time and accurately 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Coordinating;

  • Maintain and oversee the payables accounting procedures and processes like financial reporting standards, general accounting
  • Managing all company payments (such as Import payment, Vendor payment, Staff advance payment, Shop Rent payment, Franchise rent payment)
  • Own team and other departments to ensure smooth month end closing Local & IFRS reporting
  • Managing independent audit ( Deloitte, PWC, Istanbul Bagimsiz Yonetim)  and internal audit processes and ensuring coordination

 

Reporting & Controlling;

  • BS review and reconciliation
  • Monthly and Quarterly closing IFRS reports and data entries,
  • Weekly follows and controls incoming e-invoice on the portal

 

  • Prepares Monthly IFRS Reports (Inventory and supplier data, deferred tax form, movements of provisions & allowances, Group AR-AP revaluation query, reconciliation protocol, breakdown of misc. items)
  • Makes corrections to the Central Finance Modules reports monthly.
  • Own team and other departments bookings for both statutory and group reporting ( sales check for each channel and brands, payroll, banks, cost run, fx evaluation, amortization etc)
  • Own team and other departments accruals and provisions based on local GAAP and IFRS,
  • Ensure that month end reporting is completed accurately and timely according to internal schedules, and that review meetings are prepared for and presented to review the results, including the sales and margin reconciliation review and the Opex/MWB/P&L review
  • Ensure that key items of the Balance Sheet and P&L are reviewed on a regular basis, including the areas that which are influenced by FP&A team to ensure that the balance sheet is correctly and appropriately stated
  • Managing Hyperinflation accounting postings & reporting,
  • Handles bookkeeping and follow up of fixed assets described in accounts
  • FX Revaluation and handle bookkeeping of related items.
  • Supports to other common departments and projects upon requested.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • SAP knowledge is an asset
  • Good at written & spoken English
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Programs especially excel
  • Strong interest in accounting and long term career goal in Accounting & Reporting fields.
  • Willing to learn Turkish tax laws and legal system
  • Team oriented
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and presentation skills
  • Analytical mind with strong planning and organization skills, ability to realize task to deadline

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or related fields from a reputable university
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in preferably Accounting / Finance area is an asset
