Title and Summary Motion Designer Overview

The Data & Services team is a key differentiator for Mastercard, providing the cutting-edge services that help our customers grow. Centered on data-driven technologies and innovation, this team provides consulting, marketing, loyalty and analytics to financial institutions and merchants globally. The Advisors Creative Desk sits within D&S and is responsible for ideating and creating engaging, forward-thinking, on-brand content solutions that connect our advertising partners, platforms, and our portfolio of brands.

The Role

• Conceptualize, design, and produce motion graphics, animations, and video content for digital campaigns, social media, websites, presentations, and other marketing initiatives.
• Collaborate with the creative team to develop visual concepts, storyboards, and animatics that effectively communicate key messages, brand narratives, and marketing objectives.
• Use animation techniques, visual effects, and motion design principles to enhance storytelling, evoke emotions, and captivate audiences while maintaining brand consistency.
• Work closely with designers, art directors, and copywriters to ensure seamless integration of motion graphics and animations into overall creative concepts and campaigns.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in motion design, animation, and video production to drive innovation and elevate Mastercard's creative work.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions, design critiques, and cross-functional meetings to contribute ideas, provide feedback, and collaborate on creative projects.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and revisions effectively to ensure timely completion of high-quality motion graphics and video content by meeting deadlines
• Seek innovative solutions
• Collaborate with external production partners, vendors, and agencies as needed to support the execution of motion design projects and campaigns.
• Maintain and troubleshoot video equipment
• Have an understanding of participating in live event and studio production, including setting a stage, lighting a set, and shooting footage w/video or still camera

All about you

• Bachelor's degree in Motion Design, Animation, Graphic Design, Film, or related field.
• Min 5 years of experience in motion design, animation, or video production, or advertising agencies with a strong portfolio showcasing your creativity
• Proficiency in motion graphics software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, and Photoshop and in at least one 3D motion design tool such as Cinema 4D or similar.
• Solid understanding of design principles, animation principles, timing, and pacing.
• Strong conceptual thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate ideas into visually compelling motion graphics and animations.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Passion for creativity, storytelling, and visual communication, with a desire to push boundaries and innovate in motion design.
• Collaborative mindset and effective communication skills
• Language: Professional in English, local language (Turkish), any other language a plus
