Sustainable Supply Chain Developer (Ethical Trade)

We are currently looking for a dedicated Sustainable Supply Chain (SSC) Developer to spearhead the sustainability operations at supplier sites, overseeing assessments, remediation efforts, training programs, and project management to drive continuous improvement.

In this role, you will engage with both internal and external stakeholders, playing a pivotal role in advancing sustainability practices within our supply chain. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities, from conducting assessments to facilitating trainings, driving projects with suppliers, and contributing to the evolution of our sustainable supply chain strategy.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting suppliers and production units to elevate their sustainability, including but not limited to:
    1. Supplier Trainings on sustainability topics,
    2. Participating in projects and programs such as:
  • Grievance mechanism
  • Working conditions
  • Equity and inclusion
  • Management system approach
  • Awareness raising
  • Adequate wage
  • Fabric mill performance
  • Product traceability in garmenting
Operating sustainability activities including CAP management, randomized visits, etc., to review performance of suppliers and support them to continuously improve standards based on C&A Code of Conduct.Assessing and seeking solutions for topics in the supply chain such as freedom of association, undisclosed production, discrimination, verbal abuse, sexual harassment, etc.

Requirements:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to leverage company's overall sustainability goals;
  • Drive measurable improvements, process efficiency & effectiveness;
  • Stay updated on relevant law updates and industry trends to contribute to building sustainability team's knowledge and expertise;
  • Awareness and interest in social and human rights topics;
  • Project development and management experience in related areas of social sustainability such as vulnerable worker, dialogue, women empowerment, etc.;
  • Excellent command of English;
  • Clear and robust communication skills;
  • Ability to travel both overseas and domestically; a driving license is required;
  • Experience in sourcing and manufacturing is a plus.
