Knauf Turkey office is based in Ankara, with 2 plants and 4 quarries serving the Turkish market and exports of our product. We've been producing high quality, market-leading gypsum building products for 91 years. Knauf Turkey is a part of Knauf Middle East, Africa & South Asia (MEASA) which is one of Knauf Group's regions. We are now looking for another team mate to join us in Izmit Plant Maintenance department as Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing and developing the mechanical maintenance team.
  • Managing Predictive, Planned, Preventive, Corrective and Reactive maintenance activities.
  • Improving & Planning daily, monthly & yearly maintenance. Supporting Kaizen & Continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental rules and regulations.
  • Preparing technical documents such as technical specifications, drawings, progress payments, maintenance instructions and technical reports when necessary.
  • Managing the process by communicating with OEM companies for spare parts supply and maintenance activities when necessary.
  • Organizing, managing and supervising subcontractors.
  • Following the budgets of the department, planning and managing business plans accordingly to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Leading new Capex projects, executing according to technical specifications and Knauf requirements.
  • Determining critical spare parts stock quantities, stocked and non-stocked spare parts, consumable and service needs to ensure the continuous operation of the facilities and taking necessary actions to supply them.
  • Ensuring that employees work in accordance with Knauf culture, following employees attendance/leave/rest/overtime, performing 1:1 and team meetings and interviews, listening to their requests and suggestions, and informing HR and Plant Manager when necessary.

  • BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in Industrial Maintenance.
  • Good knowledge and active use of SAP-PM module, AutoCAD, MS Office Applications.
  • Proficient application of core tools/principles, industry best practices and recognition for technical expertise (RCA, PDCA, 6 sigma, Lean manufacturing, 5S).
  • Excellent command of English both written and spoken.
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork, and consumer centricity.
  • Residency/ability to reside in İzmit.
