BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a dynamic, results-driven person to join as Laboratory Engineer at our Manufacturing Plant in Izmir.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Owner of Calibration process and its improvements
2. Owner of chemical risk analysis and management for chemicals used in laboratory
3. Owner of measurement order system
4. Continuous improvement of laboratories regarding safety, equipment and methods
5. Responsible for measurement method development
6. Responsible for MSA studies of laboratory and line equipment
7. Project lead for acquisition and implementation of new laboratory equipment
8. Support in performing failure analysis of internal failures and customer return products
9. Support to Manufacturing Engineering / Quality team when choosing measurement methods to be implemented in-line
10. Support with CMM programming as necessary
11. Support quality engineers with root cause analysis related to measurement systems
12. Support supplier quality during PPAP of new suppliers regarding measurement methods

Education & Experience

1. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
2. Two or more years of experience with metrology, material analysis and / or technical cleanliness
3. Hands-on experience with statistical analysis
4. In-depth understanding of technical documentation and drawings
5. Understanding of electrical schematics preferred
6. Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
7. Knowledge of VDA 19.2
8. Knowledge of IATF 16949
9. Knowledge in FMEA, MSA, SPC, and PPAP
10. Minitab user is a plus
11. Outstanding communication skills
12. Fluent in English and Turkish (minimum B2)
