Job Responsibilities
  1. Develop projects that increase network efficiency and reduce opex.
  2. Transport topology project: create an end-to-end transport topology using existing resources, manage the relations between different departments and vendors to reach the target.
  3. 5G preparation for transport: prepare the methodology for getting ready for 5G, define the needs, prepare an initial plan, and follow up over regions.
  4. SDN Readiness for transport: prepare project plans for readiness to SDN, in line with the group strategy.
  5. Capacity planning of the IP&DC Network infrastructure to ensure adequate capacity to meet traffic demands.
  6. Ability to automate IP design configuration using Python, etc.
  7. Design solutions for all IT enterprise and Call Center Services.
  8. Project management of activities related to the network and network security.
  9. Assess project risks and develop procedures, prepare Project status reports, and follow up on Regional Project implementation.
  10. Define equipment to be used in the network and determine equipment type and quantities for the projects.
  11. Develop IP Core high-level network plans, planning of Network Services to meet sales team demands and market facts. Design and dimension network elements, including links between network elements (i.e., Abis, A-Int, Iub, Iur, s1, x2).
  12. Support L3, L2, and L1 teams in solving complex and critical problems.
  13. Team player able to cooperate closely with all divisions within the company in a friendly manner without losing the integrity of his/her purpose as IP Core Network.
  14. Collect coverage/capacity demand from related departments to design the network, assess traffic demand, and define link protection methodology.
  15. Create design solutions and planning guidelines to enable efficient and standardized network.
  16. Manage Vendors for all technical improvements to meet IP Core Network requirements.
  17. Optimize access network by using new hub points, prepare reroute plans to maximize network availability, check utilization reports, and prepare new capacity plans to maximize efficiency.
  18. Check network quality reports and prepare action plans for the regions.
  19. Continually seek opportunities to decrease operational costs within the network.
  20. Follow up on the latest transport technologies, internal and global transport-related trials, and report them to Vodafone Global and legal authority.
  21. Follow up on Vodafone Global technical strategy/guidelines and implement them in the local network.
Who You Are
  1. Graduate from a reputable university in electrical, electronics, telecommunication, or computer engineering.
  2. Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic field or MBA is desired.
  3. Minimum 6 years of experience in telecommunications.
  4. Minimum 4 years of telecommunications transport planning/operation experience.
  5. IP Network certifications, including CCNP, CCIE.
  6. Very good knowledge of IP/MPLS and L2/L3 VPN Technologies.
  7. Good experience with IP routing protocols such as IS-IS, BGP, and signaling protocols such as LDP, RSVP.
  8. Hands-on experience with Cisco high-end Routers.
  9. Hands-on experience with Huawei Routers/Switches.
  10. Know-how for Mobile Network Architecture & IT Datacenter Architecture.
  11. Internet Service Provider network topology architecture know-how.
  12. VoIP and Data Service terminology experience.
  13. Very Good knowledge of SDN and NFV concepts.
  14. Good command of English.
  15. Driving license and no restrictions for mobility.
  16. Excellent communication skills.
  17. Takes personal responsibility.
  18. Can-do attitude; delivers and drives Vodafone to win.
