About the Role

Our primary focus will be on powering our Core E-commerce domain. Building a seamless and personalized shopping experience designed to serve millions of customers. As a Data Scientist, you'll play a critical role in driving data-informed decisions; from optimizing ranking and recommendation algorithms to user behavior modeling and improving the efficiency of the systems We solve complex problems with data, creativity, and agility - always driven by real outcomes. Responsibilities

• Work at the intersection of product, technology, and machine learning; developing models that power seller & user experience, personalization, Growth, and other core E-commerce features
• Enhancing a scalable, fast, and reliable discovery infrastructure designed to support the future of digital commerce. As a Data Scientist, you'll play a critical role in driving data-informed decisions; from user intent modeling and ranking optimization to improving recommendation relevance and system reliability
• Analyze large-scale structured and unstructured data from multiple sources across the Trendyol ecosystem
• Apply best practices for working with ML-Ops infrastructure, improve models and infrastructure to optimize model performance and deployment cycles
• Execute A/B experiments, reach conclusions statistically and build upon learnings continously
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and risk teams to translate business challenges into data science problems.
• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
• Synthesize methodology and data into actionable business strategy and communicate findings to engineering and management teams as driving business impact

Expected Qualifications

• Experience in applied data science and a wide range of data science stack of algorithms and models. Knowledge about recommendation systems, search ranking, or personalization is a big plus
• Good knowledge of python or other programming language. Experience in one or more of the libraries such as scikit-learn, Pytorch and TensorFlow is a plus.
• Good knowledge of SQL and familiarity with best practices
• Strong analytical skills with a data driven approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience with e-commerce or self-service business models is a big plus
