Job Title

Summary of the role:

The QA Engineer's role is to validate core Amadeus back-end applications, identifying functional issues early in the development cycle to prevent them from reaching production.

The responsibilities include reviewing specifications, designing test cases, and creating manual and automated scripts. Additionally, the role focuses on defining, implementing, and rolling out new quality processes.

The tooling environment includes distributed systems.

In this role you'll find a chance to:

  1. Leverage technical and functional expertise to contribute to testing strategies, ensuring alignment with Amadeus' business and quality standards.
  2. Participate in specification and architecture reviews, providing feedback on risks and gaps.
  3. Define test strategies, plans, and cases (functional and non-functional), ensuring traceability with requirements.
  4. Design and execute test cases, validate features, and provide go/no-go decisions based on exit criteria.
  5. Maintain and optimize test cases in regression and CI/CD pipelines, addressing flaky tests and adding/removing cases as needed.
  6. Assess and implement test automation, contributing to the improvement of frameworks.
  7. Manage defects by reporting, investigating, and verifying fixes, ensuring production quality.
  8. Report on testing progress and milestones, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
