Waterslide Construction Supervisor

We seek a seasoned Waterslide Construction Supervisor with direct experience guiding the installation phase of water rides and water parks for international clients. This role is 90% travel and requires the successful individual to be deployed for 8-12 weeks at a time.

The Waterslide Construction Supervisor is responsible for being the go-to lead on all assigned projects. In this role, you will be leveraging your documentation skills, construction experience, and product knowledge to lead your projects in the installation process, while gaining valuable knowledge and support from the Lead Technical Advisor.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

Construction Management:

• Function as the on-site subject matter expert on the installation process.
• Supervise preassembly steel ride support sections, including steel columns, steel radial arms, and yokes on various types of foundations and concrete piers.
• Problem solve and instruct any adjustments required to the installations of foundations and steel ride supports should there be issues with topography or installation around other water rides.
• Oversee the preassembly and erection of all fiberglass flume sections and direct adjustments to the ride path as required should any issues arise.
• Oversee the installation and connection of yoke plates to radial arms/embedment plates by welding or bolting the connection. Review connections are welded, or bolted components are installed correctly, and no leaks are present.
• Identify leaks or gelcoat chips and cracks and direct the repair of these issues.
• Read and interpret specification, engineering, and schematic drawings. Partner with the engineering and project team to go over foreseen issues.
• Provide direction on construction of the water ride tower in accordance with engineering drawings. Problem solve any technical issues with the topography of the park.
• Problem solve any technical issues that arise during the construction and maintenance of the waterslides, including redialing of FRP parts, adjustment of ride paths, and adjustment of foundations or steel supports.
• Manage the pouring of concrete for tower landing platforms, decks, and pans as well as painting of steel columns, towers, and start platforms.
• Ensure that all rides are clean on the interior and exterior and that all rides interiors have been washed and waxed ready for the public's use.
• Maintain cleanliness of the client's site and construction site.
• Follow ProSlide and State Laws regarding all safety requirements during the project.
• Commission ProSlide products upon completion of the construction phase.

Documentation & Process Management:

• Interact regularly with our client, project management, product lines, and engineering teams via phone, email, and other forms of documentation such as photos.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by leading regular meetings and providing guidance to the project management team.
• Attend regular site coordination meetings including planning and scheduling all work to be completed on site.
• Prepare and complete documents including safety inspections, daily reports, project updates, and commissioning reports.
• Provide subject matter and technical advice on all components and processes of construction.
• Contribute to project post-mortems and feedback at the end of projects.
• Provide ongoing feedback of installation process and any improvements that could be made.

Expectations:

• Be a leader within your projects and support the engineering, product lines, and project management team with any subject matter information.
• Provide ongoing support and direction to tradespersons.
• Complete thorough weekly site updates.
• Carry out comprehensive safety documentation such as safety inspections, safety talks, incident reports, and other documentation as required by the Project Manager.
• Document the commissioning process as per the templates provided.
• Develop and grow customer relationships and satisfaction both in the field and remotely.
• Ensure all products are built as per the engineering intent.
• Participate in ProSlide training opportunities.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

• 10 plus years of construction-related experience.
• 5 plus years leading construction tradespersons.
• Experience in the water park industry specifically with directing installation of water ride attractions.
• Must have a valid passport and ability to travel with no restrictions.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Experience with completing site reports or similar documentation.
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong customer service background.
• Good knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems is required.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Must be fluent in English.
