
Junior Merchandiser

Carrefour Global Sourcing is seeking a dynamic Junior Merchandiser to join our team in Istanbul, Türkiye. As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in sourcing high-quality products and supporting our business operations.
Responsibilities:- Source suitable suppliers and factories to deliver the best products under optimal conditions, aligning with buyer requirements.
- Evaluate suppliers based on category priorities and corporate quality standards to ensure compliance.
- Manage the ordering process collaboratively, ensuring accurate preparation of orders and related documentation for smooth execution from request to shipment.
- Collaborate with Quality and Supply Chain teams to address any quality or shipment issues promptly.
- Work closely with factories during the sample development stage to ensure product quality and specifications are met.
- Organize and participate in collection meetings to facilitate effective communication and decision-making.
- Gather insights from third-party sourcing vendors to stay informed on the latest market trends.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, International Trade, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a merchandising or sourcing position, preferably in hardgoods or textile.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with a customer-oriented approach and good negotiation abilities.
- Enjoys challenges, maintains a positive attitude, and can work effectively under pressure.
- Independent and proactive, capable of taking the initiative in various situations.
- Familiarity with European safety regulations and markets is a plus.
- Fluent in oral and written English; knowledge of French or Spanish is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and related applications (Word, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrates resilience and a positive attitude when facing challenges, showing the ability to learn from experiences.
- Adapts quickly to new situations and embraces innovative problem-solving approaches.
- Collaborates effectively within teams, fostering a spirit of cooperation to achieve shared objectives.
- Maintains a strong customer-centric mindset, actively addressing customer needs and providing exceptional service.
