Overview:

About the role
The demand-planning organization at SC Johnson is responsible for managing and forecasting product demand, working closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure that production and inventory align with market needs. The role is also integral to the S&OP process, supporting the entire cycle from Step 1 to Step 3, ensuring alignment between commercial teams and supply chain planning, particularly for top customers in Türkiye market.
The position involves making impactful decisions on the demand plan, communicating these to stakeholders, and contributing to special projects and business strategy initiatives. It requires strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills to quickly identify and resolve issues.

Responsibilities:

  1. Use and maintain current demand planning systems to create the best forecast possible using established processes.
  2. Collect and analyze past/future demand inputs (such as distribution gains/losses, price changes, new/discontinued products and promotion plans) from sales and marketing and calculate their impacts on demand.
  3. Work with various cross-functional partners on projects such as new product launches, discontinuations, and transitions to evaluate assumptions (pre and post launch) – new product forecast, pipeline fill, and cannibalization.
  4. Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Finance for advertising and promotional activities – time period, expected market penetration, reaction (uplift, cannibalization on other items/brands) and evaluate against performance from similar historical activities.
  5. Ensure demand forecast is shared in level of detail and timing required by internal customers and supply chain partners with documented assumptions. Also communicating forecast confidence, including risks and opportunities.
  6. Influence and collaborate with key partners in marketing, sales (field sales, corporate sales managers and directors), and finance to address input gaps as identified by forecast error/bias review & root cause analysis.
  7. Measure, analyze, and communicate key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators, while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience you'll bring:

  1. Strong Demand Planning and Supply Chain / Business experience.
  2. Minimum of an undergraduate degree, preferably economics, supply chain management, engineering, or a related business field.
  3. Knowledge of finance, sales, marketing and customer market dynamics.
  4. Knowledge of S&OP process & SAP system.
  5. Power Query and Power BI.
  6. Strong experience of demonstrated results and working in a team-based, cross-functional environment, preferably experience with the standard S&OP processes.
  7. Preferably experience in SAP APO.
  8. Good hands-on experience in demand planning and simulation systems or tools.
  9. Experience working in the FMCG industry - preferable.
  10. Advanced experience using PC-based applications (such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint).

This role isn't eligible for international relocation.
