Job purpose
Job purpose: The Adolescent Development Officer reports directly to the Chief of Gaziantep Field Office, who retains overall supervisory and managerial responsibility for the position. The Adolescent Development and Participation Section-lead, based in Ankara, provides technical supervision and guidance within the Officer’s area of work. UNICEF Türkiye Country Office Adolescent Development and Participation (ADAP) Section works closely with government institutions, municipalities, private sector partners, civil society organizations, and young people, to strengthen systems enabling more adolescents and young people, including refugees, to access opportunities for skills development, participation, and civic engagement. The Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process through the application of theoretical and technical skills in researching, collecting, analyzing and presenting technical programme information and learning organizational rules, regulations and procedures, to support the development and formulation of the adolescent development and participation programmes/projects in Gaziantep Field Office.

The Adolescent Development Officer will support the development and implementation of adolescent-focused programmes and projects in Gaziantep, Türkiye. This includes contributing to programme design, planning, monitoring, and evaluation. The role involves working closely with government institutions, municipalities, private sector partners, civil society organizations, and young people to enhance opportunities for skills development, participation, and civic engagement among adolescents, including refugees. The officer will provide technical and operational support, conduct research, collect and analyze data, and present findings to inform programme strategies. Building and maintaining partnerships with stakeholders will be crucial, as will fostering innovation and knowledge sharing within the team and with partners.
Education

Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Social Science, International Development, Education, Youth studies, or any other related fields.

experience:
At least 1 year of professional work experience in Social Development Planning and Management in Adolescent Development related areas is required.
