UG Survey Superintendent

Avesoro is a leading international mining company committed to operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable development. We are seeking an experienced UG Survey Superintendent to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our underground mining operations in Liberia.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and analyze underground production and development surveys, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead the survey team and oversee field operations to ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.
• Maintain and regularly update production maps, ensuring timely distribution to relevant field teams.
• Manage LiDAR-based mapping and 3D modeling processes to support mining operations.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, and Geology teams to facilitate structured data sharing and comprehensive reporting.
• Monitor field operations to ensure alignment with operational goals and strategies.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Geomatics Engineering.
• Experience: At least 8 years of experience in underground mining. Proven experience in managing survey teams and supervising field operations. Expertise in Sublevel and Cut-and-Fill mining methods.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of underground production and development surveying. Proficiency in mapping and modeling software such as Surpac, Datamine, Civil 3D, and Cloud Compare. Hands-on experience with LiDAR-based mapping and 3D modeling, with the ability to manage data processing workflows. Advanced technical knowledge of surveying instruments and measurement technologies. Strong analytical and technical reporting skills.
• Soft Skills: Team-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to make effective decisions in complex situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Additional Requirements: Excellent command of written and spoken English. Ability to work closely and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate timely and accurate data sharing on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
