BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a dynamic, results-driven person to join as Customer and Process Engineer at our Manufacturing Plant in Izmir.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Quality

  1. Scrap and FTP KPI owner – follow-up and actions
  2. Ensure that internal quality issues are resolved in a timely manner together with other teams in the plant
  3. Implement CAPA for internal quality issues
  4. Work on continuous improvements by collecting and analyzing quality data
  5. Responsible to ensure PFMEA is up to date with support from Manufacturing team
  6. Responsible to lead MSA and Capability topics if process is changed

Customer Quality

  1. Assure customer specific requirements are satisfied in the Business Management System
  2. Understand and ensure compliance with customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
  3. Support and facilitate customer audits, be a contact point to customers
  4. Assure that findings from these audits are answered according to demands
  5. Leader of the Customer Claim
  6. Customer Incident KPI owner - follow-up and actions
  7. Customer PPM KPI owner - follow-up and actions
  8. 8D answering time to customer KPI owner - follow-up and actions
  9. Warranty KPI owner - follow-up and actions
  10. Preparation and analyses before final negotiation of setting Technical Factors towards customers
  11. Give input regarding quality/warranty to new development projects
  12. PPAP administration towards customers
  13. Support Change Management with changes/deviations
  14. Ensure that customer portals are updated accordingly and in a timely manner

Project

  1. When CPQE are appointed a role in a project, main purpose is to assure that the quality processes (including tools and methods) in product & process projects are performed according to the Global Gate Plan and Local Project Check list, existing procedures, as planned and assuring that the project objectives and customer satisfaction are reached
  2. Establish Reliability & Quality goals
  3. Lead Control Plan (Prototype, Pre-Launch, Production)
  4. Define Gage / Test Equipment Requirements
  5. Create Measurement Systems Analysis Plan / System Evaluation
  6. Perform Process Capability Study Plan / Results
  7. Lead Production Part Approval Process PPAP to Customer
  8. Handle any claim in the pre-launch phase
  9. Follow up of internal rejects
  10. Create product audit program
  11. Ensure customer specific requirements are met
  12. Perform early production containment

Education & Experience

  1. Degree in Engineering
  2. Two or more years of experience as Plant Quality Engineer and/or Customer Quality Engineer
  3. Hands-on experience with statistical analysis
  4. In-depth understanding of technical documentation
  5. Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  6. Good analytical skills
  7. Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
  8. Additional certification in Quality Assurance (is a plus)
  9. Minitab user (is a plus)
  10. Outstanding communication skills
  11. Fluent in English and Turkish (minimum B2)
  12. Knowledge in FMEA, MSA, SPC, APQP and PPAP
