We seek for Electrical Designer for Power Transformers who will be able to demonstrate knowledge in Hitachi Energy Turkey Elektrik San A.Ş., in Kartal (and future- new Dilovası, Kocaeli plant), Istanbul, with below qualifications:

Your background
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Min. 5 years of different levels of related work experience in design of power transformers will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of Local and International electrical (IEEE/IEC) Standards
  • Knowledge of accessories of transformer such as Bucholz relay, pressure relief valve, e-devices and digital equipment etc.
  • Experience with site work visit in the relevant area will be an added advantage
  • Very good command of written and spoken Turkish & English
  • Analytical mind with strong planning and self-learning skills, teamwork & result oriented
  • Target oriented, able to communicate effectively
  • Personal leadership and good communication skills
  • Being able to initiate teamwork/capture team
  • Completed military service for male applicants
  • Available for international travels
  • Adapt to changing technology, present proposals, and conceive and foster introduction of new concepts and approaches. Require ability to negotiate and influence decisions of Company managers and customers
  • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Turkey
Your responsibilities
  • Being part of a Design and Engineering Team for Power Transformers, providing technical support and close cooperation with other teams and coordinating between workshop and other factory design teams
  • Comply with Functional Competency Assessment program to ensure that Hitachi Energy's business needs are supported by the required competencies of the engineers
  • Running and leading Hitachi Energy based projects, such as Design to Value (DtV) and participating in the continuous improvement of the design process
  • Making and controlling design (local & remote) using necessary tools and demonstrating advanced knowledge of principles and practices in related areas
  • Developing power transformer design, including insulation system, cooling, short-circuit withstand etc. Preparing all relevant documentation for customer approval and for manufacturing of power transformer.
  • Making necessary updates to design and related work based on standards.
  • Selection of proper components and devices, and preparation of details needed for purchasing
  • Preparing design review documents, participating & presenting in technical meetings with customers
  • Preparing design mistake session documents, participating & presenting in design mistake session meetings with colleagues
  • Closely interacting with project team to support smooth execution of projects
  • Taking initiative in engineering process optimizations and standardization
  • Working mostly independently while maintaining excellent quality and optimized design in developing deliverables
  • Supporting and collaborating with colleagues at Local Engineering Team and Global Engineering members
  • Knowing and following current version International electrical (IEEE/IEC) Standards, AC/DC Control & Protection schemes and customer standards
  • Following up on manufacturing of approved designs and customer service
  • Participating in tests failure activities at the factory
  • Training and supporting junior electrical designers
  • Planning, conducting, coordinating and developing recommendations using advanced engineering concepts and processes
  • Negotiating matters of considerable significance with customers, which may impact current and future business
  • Analyzing new proposals, requirements, specifications, and products
  • Finding creative/innovative ways to tailor complex solutions for business and customer needs
  • Providing cost-effective quality solutions for customer requirements
  • Making technical judgments in unique problems considering multiple aspects
  • Self-planning ability to meet project timelines
