The Role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead the development of scalable systems, optimise performance, and drive architectural decisions across our stack. You will play a key role in shaping our technology, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring robust security and maintainability of our applications, both consumer facing and internal tooling.

As part of our engineering team, you will:

  • Architect and develop high-performance backend services using NestJS.
  • Build responsive, scalable frontend applications with React Native.
  • Optimise database performance using PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  • Implement and maintain event-driven architectures with Kafka, Redis, and BullMQ.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to best practices in testing, security, and DevOps.
  • Work within an Agile development process, participating in sprints and iterative improvements.
  • Collaborate with our Platform Team for DevOps-related needs.
  • Lead technical discussions, mentor junior engineers, and drive architectural decisions.

We use a microservices architecture and deploy across AWS and GCP, leveraging Kubernetes to manage scalability and reliability.

Your work will have a direct impact on system performance, application scalability, and overall engineering excellence.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in Full Stack development.
  • Expertise in TypeScript, React/React Native, and NestJS.
  • Strong experience with relational and no-sql databases, such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and message queues (Kafka, Redis, BullMQ).
  • Deep understanding of security best practices.
  • Experience in banking or the financial industry.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
  • Familiarity with microservices and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong background in performance optimisation and debugging at scale.

Step 3: A final call with the CTO to discuss your potential role and fit within the company.
