Provide day-to-day support such as data entry support and administrative assistance to the International Brand Management (Trade Mark) practice, working with a London based team of Trademark Specialists.
This role is ideal for career starters and individuals who are aiming to work within an international company as part of our Turkish based team and collaborate with international colleagues. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing incoming and outgoing correspondence to identify key information, statutory deadlines, timetables for future activities, requirements and other docketing details then updating the IP software database accordingly.
- Implementing standard system generated documents including letters, forms and reports.
- Providing technical support for new incoming portfolios including data cleansing, data migration and preparation of standard documentations.
- Assisting with data verification related to trade mark and IP portfolios, including auditing of data from national IPOs, local associates and other commercial databases.
- Helping trademark projects to progress towards milestones including maintaining internal documents, chasing third parties and collaborating with internal colleagues.
- Developing familiarity of tools used by the firm to support client management.
- Maintaining and continually improving the quality and accessibility of our data.
- Working well as part of a team and communicating with other members of the Central Services Team to ensure work is picked and completed in a timely manner.
- Consistently improving and evolving the system usage to best practice standards.
The main responsibilities of this role are outlined above; however, this description is not exhaustive, and the job holder may be required to undertake additional duties from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the department.
Requirements:
- Business level fluency in English
- Solid experience of Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Work experience/knowledge or interest in Intellectual Property particularly in Trade Marks or the field of Law (advantageous)
- Additional language skills such as French, German or Arabic (advantageous)
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work produced
- Excellent time & workload management and prioritisation
- Reliability when dealing with confidential matters
- Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
- Ability to manage competing demands and work well under pressure
- Take on ownership for tasks and retaining responsibility throughout
- A flexible, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and expand knowledge and skills within the role
- Take responsibility for own personal development and skills training
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
