About the Job

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Operations Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing operational support to the Deputy Regional Directors for Europe and Central Asia (ECA) and other senior officials, and assisting in the organization of meetings, events, and workshops.

Main Responsibilities
  • Operational Support: Provide operational support to the ECA Regional Office, including preparing reports, monitoring progress, and performing data entry tasks.
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Assist in the planning and coordination of meetings, events, and workshops, including VIP visits, and provide logistical support for travel and hotel arrangements.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with government officials and ministries on key agency-related issues, and communicate effectively with stakeholders and partners.
  • Confidentiality and Discretion: Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A secondary education or equivalent qualification;
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in administration, secretarial, or program-related work;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently;
  • Fluency in English and Turkish is required, knowledge of other UN official working languages is an asset.
