GIS Analyst

Ecoplexus Inc. is a leading renewables developer, owner, and operator with end-to-end execution capabilities. We focus on utility-scale solar and energy storage projects in the 75-400 MW range in the U.S. Our company has successfully developed 90 projects in the US from greenfield site selection to commercial operation.

The GIS Analyst's role at Ecoplexus will support a broad range of pre-construction development activities on solar and battery storage projects across the United States and internationally when applicable.

• Support GIS aspects of development activities for utility-scale solar energy and battery storage projects from siting and feasibility through the start of construction.
• Conduct GIS due diligence and site screening analysis on prospective projects and communicate results to the development team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience working with Esri's ArcGIS Desktop suite of products. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are also essential for success in this role.

Requirements:

• Engineering Bachelor's degree in GIS-related field including Geomatics, Geography, Environmental Science (Minor or certification in GIS preferred).
• 1+ years of experience in GIS, with experience using spatial analysis/geoprocessing tools, creating and editing features, manipulating large data tables.
• Experience finding and extracting data from online resources.
• Proficient in SQL and Python programming language for data and GIS related tasks.
