Faculty Position in Music Education

Ashland University is recruiting a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Music for a tenure-track position. In this role, you will teach music history, music theory, and aural skills sequences, as well as other courses that align with your expertise and availability. A strong foundation in music theory, musicology, or music history is essential, accompanied by a developing scholarly portfolio.

Requirements and Application

Applicants must possess a Ph.D., D. Mus., or similar degree in Music Theory, Musicology, Music History, or Music (ABD considered). Previous college-level teaching experience and a growing body of research are also necessary.
