About the Role:

As an Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist at Johnson Controls, you will play a crucial role in implementing EHS policies and programs. Reporting directly to the Senior EHS Manager, your responsibilities will include advising the organization on regulatory changes, investigating minor incidents, and ensuring risks are effectively addressed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop training programs related to food safety and good manufacturing practices.
  3. Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment, and Job Safety Analysis to mitigate potential risks in the workplace.
  4. Investigate minor incidents and ensure appropriate risk mitigation measures are in place.
  5. Oversee EHS reporting and documentation to meet internal and external standards.
  6. Provide guidance on EHS management systems, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001.

Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certification as a Class B Occupational Safety Expert.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS Management Systems and certifications in Lead auditor ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 and preferably ISO 9001.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in an EHS role.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Ability to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
