Job Opportunity: Chief Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our financial department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. You will be working closely with our accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

In this role, you will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining internal controls, ensuring the integrity of our financial data, and identifying opportunities for process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and allocate work to ensure tasks are completed within prescribed timescales
  • Contribute to revenue and capital budget preparation, monitoring of financial performance, and completion of annual accounts
  • Assist with planning, testing, training, implementation, and review of computerized financial systems
  • Ensure financial functions operate in accordance with legislative, regulatory, and organizational requirements

Requirements:

  • Passion for numbers
  • Good organizational skills
  • Fluent communication and writing skills in English (and local language)
  • Experience working in a finance department of a 5-star luxury international hotel preferred
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers
