Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out back-to-back bunker trading, canvassing and developing customers, leveraging existing team members for supply sources, and monitoring the entire supply chain and trade cycle.

Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out back-to-back bunker trading activities.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with customers, ship owners, operators, and charterers.
  3. Leverage the existing team for supply sources and negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers and clients.
  4. Monitor the entire supply chain and trade cycle, from loading and operations to delivery and payments.
  5. Responsible for maintaining and collecting accounts receivables and relevant payments for trades.
  6. Generate daily indications and pricing from suppliers to the team and to clients.
  7. Record and follow up on all trade-related activities and payments associated with trades.
  8. Maintain and document enquiries and deals in the database via Excel and company ERP.
  9. Achieve KPIs and monthly targets.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a related field. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bunker trading or a related field within the maritime industry is preferred.

You should have a strong understanding of the maritime industry, including knowledge of vessel operations, fuel specifications, and international bunkering regulations. Proven ability to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers and clients is essential.

A strong compliance drive with good organizational skills and being a team player with a positive attitude are also required. Familiarity with environmental regulations and best practices for pollution prevention in the maritime industry is an added advantage.
