This company is looking for a Senior Analog Design Team Lead with experience in one of the following areas: wireless handheld, specifically audio and power management; consumer displays; automotive body electronics.

The role involves leading the Analog design team in terms staffing to support device / silicon design requirements and to meet design time scales as set by program schedule.

Key responsibilities include ensuring regular contact and communication with relevant teams / people to support objectives.

Analog design and technical leadership of integrated circuit development projects are also key aspects of this role.

Hands-on block and top level design from specification to clean database are essential skills for this position.

The ideal candidate will define and interpret requirement specifications to achieve system and design strategy for audio-power management products.

A commitment to top level chip verification is required.

The successful candidate will improve Renesas power management capabilities.

The person will represent the team towards the corporate engineering group.

Supporting the Group Manager / Director in planning and execution of projects and resource allocation is a key responsibility.

Mentoring direct reports and reviewing technical performance regularly are also essential tasks.

Coordination and representation of the design team towards the customer are critical aspects of this role.

Specification and design of CMOS/BCD power management circuits meeting performance, area, power and timescale constraints are key requirements.

Laboratory evaluation and support for circuit blocks/whole ICs are essential skills for this position.

Supporting DFT strategy and test development and ramp to production are key responsibilities.

Managing, guiding and reviewing circuit and block design and layout are critical aspects of this role.

The ideal candidate will propose leading-edge solutions.

Ensuring the entire team follows procedures and design practices that are required by internal guidelines as well as expected from any state of the art technology leader in the industry is a key responsibility.

The main interface to corporate engineering for own team is required.

Appraisals for direct reports as agreed with Group Manager / Engineering Director are essential.

Supporting interview process for team members is a key task.

Consulted as part of the weekly resource planning meeting, but the ultimate decision will always rest with Group Manager / Director of Engineering.

Typically 6 to 10 years of electronics experience in one of the following areas: wireless handheld, specifically audio and power management; consumer displays; automotive body electronics are required.

Recent hands-on experience in analog full custom design is essential.

Detailed layout judgment and supervision capabilities are key skills for this position.

Experience of designing switching converters, and controllers: Buck/Boost/Chargers. Linear regulators/chargers/fuel gauge IP is required.

A proven track record of successful production ramp of products is essential.

Experience contributing to a successful team environment is a key requirement.

Concise and proactive communication skills within a multi-site and multi-cultural environment are required.

Command of verbal and written English is essential.

Good communication/customer skills are key for this role.

Knowledge of portable power management: Lithium-ion multi-cell charging characteristics is desirable.

Ability to propose innovative and leading-edge solutions is required.

Support of technical quotations is desirable.

Willingness to travel is required.

Understanding of Analog/digital IC design is a key requirement.
