Automation Tool Specialist for Airties Edge Data

We are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced test automation engineer to join our team at Airties. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining the test automation tool 'the Orbit' for Airties Edge Data Verification.

About the Role:
  • Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and test code per the Orbit Edge Data verification test automation tool in the Wi-Fi Systems Eng & Certifications Team.
  • Learning Opportunities: Learn existing and new-coming Airties products (both platform and licensing) and development environments.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and maintenance for Orbit for the upcoming products to merge them into the testbed.
  • Test Software Designs: Prepare and program test software designs.
  • Test Result Documentation: Produce test software documents and user guides for the Orbit per each release.
  • Collaboration with Test Engineers: Work with the test engineers when creating new test cases in the test plans and provide technical support in terms of automatability of those cases.
  • Manual Testing: Conduct tests manually for the first time before automating those, working with test and systems engineers side by side.
  • Service Requirements Oversight: Oversee service requirements for the established automation program.
  • Feature Integration: Integrate new Airties EasyMesh related features to the Orbit automation system after the test cases are created.
  • Code Improvements: Make improvements to the code with the intention of increasing quality, time, and resource efficiency.
  • Customer Support: Support OEMs (vendors, integrators) as customers which have installed and/or use Orbit in their premises.
  • On-Site Support: Provide on-site support for the customers for the installation process of Orbit if necessary, which may require traveling.
Requirements:
  • Education: Minimum bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field of Engineering.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in developing software.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Programming Skills: Intermediate/advanced level of experience in Python programming language and object-oriented programming (OOP).
  • Computer Networking Knowledge: At least introductory level of computer networking knowledge.
  • Domain Knowledge: Domain knowledge (broadband, routing/gateway applications) preferred.
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience with Python libraries like pyshark, scapy, os, serial, http, requests.
  • Version Control: Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Scripting Languages: Experience with Linux and scripting languages.
  • Docker: Comfortable with Docker.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong strategic problem-solving and analytical skills.
