Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to drive our infrastructure and operational excellence across multiple domains. This role combines the responsibilities of DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with a strong focus on automation, security, and service design.

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure utilizing AWS, Azure, and on-premise environments.
  • Develop and deploy applications within Docker containers and manage orchestration using Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
  • Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform.

Key Responsibilities:

CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT & MANAGEMENT

  • Implement cloud and on-premise solutions using AWS, Azure, and hybrid architectures.
  • Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments using Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform.

CLOUD CONTINUOUS INTEGRATION / DELIVERY & AUTOMATION

  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
  • Develop automation scripts in Python, PHP, or Node.js to streamline deployments and operations.

DATABASE MANAGEMENT

  • Design and manage master-slave architectures with multiple read replicas for PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and MySQL.
  • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and data integrity through clustering, replication strategies, performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.

MESSAGING SYSTEMS

  • Implement and manage RabbitMQ clusters, including configuring exchange types, queues, bindings, and routing keys.
  • Deploy and manage Kafka clusters to support high-volume event streaming and robust message processing.
  • Configure load balancing and failover mechanisms across messaging infrastructures.

CACHING & SEARCH SOLUTIONS

  • Optimize application performance using Redis for caching, session management, and message brokering; manage Redis Sentinel and Cluster configurations.
  • Integrate and maintain search systems using OpenSearch and Apache Solr for advanced search, distributed indexing, and query optimization.

PROCESS MANAGEMENT & LOAD BALANCING

  • Utilize FPM/PM2 for process management, including monitoring, clustering, and zero-downtime reloads.
  • Configure and maintain HAProxy and NGINX for load balancing, reverse proxying, SSL termination, and caching to ensure high availability and zero-downtime deployments.

SERVICE DESIGN & PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION

  • Architect and develop scalable, reliable backend services using modular-monolith, microservices, or event-driven designs.
  • Design and implement GraphQL and RESTful APIs with robust authentication methods such as OAuth, JWT, and API key management.
  • Identify system bottlenecks, perform load testing, and execute capacity planning to ensure optimal performance at both application and infrastructure levels.

NETWORKING & SECURITY

  • Implement subnetting, routing, VPNs, load balancers, and firewall configurations.
  • Apply security best practices, including SSL/TLS, encryption, intrusion detection/prevention, and adherence to OWASP and GDPR standards.
  • Configure Cloudflare for DNS management, CDN, WAF, caching, and object storage along with DDoS protection and SSL/TLS optimization.

SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEERING & OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

  • Establish comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and the LOKI stack.
  • Implement distributed tracing using OpenTelemetry and Jaeger to analyze system performance and latency.
  • Lead incident management processes, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous operational improvements.

COLLABORATION & DOCUMENTATION

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for architectures, processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Degree: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering with a focus on scalable systems.

Cloud & Infrastructure:

  • Proven experience managing AWS, Azure, and hybrid on-premise environments.
  • Hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes (or Docker Swarm), and Terraform.

Programming & Scripting:

  • Proficiency/Familiarity in Python, PHP, and Node.js, including asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and performance tuning.
  • Deep understanding of Linux OS, shell scripting, and system administration.

Database & Messaging:

  • Extensive experience with PostgreSQL, MariaDB/MySQL, including master-slave architectures, read replicas, clustering, and replication.
  • Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ and Kafka clusters for robust messaging systems.

Caching, Search & Process Management:

  • Skilled in implementing Redis for caching, session management, and as a message broker.
  • Proficient in managing OpenSearch / Apache Solr clusters for distributed search and indexing.
  • Expertise in using PM2 for application monitoring, clustering, and ensuring zero-downtime deployments.

Networking, Security & Cloud Services:

  • Strong background in configuring HAProxy, NGINX, and advanced networking protocols.
  • Experience implementing security measures (SSL/TLS, VPNs, firewalls) and performing security audits.
  • Proficient in configuring Cloudflare services for DNS, CDN, WAF, and DDoS protection.

CI/CD & Version Control:

  • Advanced knowledge of Git workflows, branching strategies, and repository management.
  • Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
