Procurement Strategist

The role of Senior Procurement Manager at Gizli involves defining and executing sourcing strategies for raw materials categories. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the procurement strategy, building upon previous experiences and fitting it to the company's needs.

You will work closely with operational teams to maximize the value of raw materials sourcing purchases. Your focus will be on managing the overall raw material and purchasing strategy of the company, negotiating commercial terms with suppliers, and securing supply fundamentals.

Your responsibilities will include preparing saving plans through commercial achievements and technical interventions to deliver fiscal year objectives. You will also develop and maintain a business continuity plan for critical supply chains.

A strong relationship network with internal stakeholders from R&D, finance, legal, third-party manufacturing, and operational purchasing teams is essential. You must maintain a deep understanding of the industry landscape and main trends in the global market.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop end-to-end sourcing strategies for key raw material categories
• Build strategic supplier relationships, driving commercial, sustainable, innovation, and performance initiatives
• Ensure key interface role in shortage management
• Maximize benefits by having market/source knowledge in cooperation with buyers
• Develop risk mitigation strategies for key raw materials
• Manage inventory value by cooperating with related disciplines
• Ensure secured supply by sourcing and engaging reliable vendors
• Negotiate with vendors to secure advantageous terms
• Manage/control purchase orders in cost and service level
• Monitor supplier performances on a monthly basis and plan/carry out supplier development activities
• Ensure KPIs are achieved
• Perform risk assessment on supply, contracts, and agreements and proactively inform management of upcoming risks
• Support R&D, Commercial, project teams proactively by providing raw material market insight where needed
• Support specific product development with presence and perform early supply involvement according to company strategy
• Work closely with R&D and project teams for new/existing products to prevent any kind of supply risk
