Join Our Team as an HSE Specialist – Make a Real Impact on Health, Safety, and Environment

TÜV Rheinland Turkey is looking for a proactive and motivated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Specialist to join our team. If you are passionate about driving a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance, and promoting sustainability, this role is for you.

Job Description

• Ensures the practical implementation of the internal guidelines and external laws, and regulations in HSE by guiding through processes, providing information and monitoring progress.
• Develop and execute internal HSE assessments and audits, while tracking and reporting the status of corrective actions.
• Analyze and report incidents, safety observations, and near-misses; investigate root causes, ensure corrective actions are implemented, and align outcomes with regulatory compliance.
• Participate in workplace hazard identification, risk assessment, and control activities to establish and maintain a safe work environment.
• Deliver HSE trainings during onboarding and organize regular safety and environmental awareness trainings for employees.
• Advises managers and employees on the prevention of accidents, diseases and environmental incidents and ensures that their responsibilities in reporting incidents and accidents are clear to them.
• Carrying out and supporting Emergency Management activities, managing and controlling Occupational Safety management System (ISO standards.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with national HSE regulations and maintain all related documentation.
• Take part in internal and external audits and support the closure of findings.
• Track environmental performance indicators (energy, water, waste, emissions, etc.) and prepare related reports.
• Prepare and present monthly/Annual HSE performance reports.
• Collaborate with departments to achieve common safety, health, and environmental goals.

Experience & Further Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Valid B-Class Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate issued by the Turkish Ministry of Labour (as per Turkish regulations).
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar HSE role in an international environment.
• Good knowledge of laws and regulations and risk assessment, emergency response, and waste management practices.
• Hands-on experience with the implementation of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Advanced level of English (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
• For male candidates: Military service must be completed.
