Position Summary

The Deputy MLRO supports the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in managing the company's AML and compliance framework in Turkey. Based in Istanbul, this role provides day-to-day oversight of AML operations, ensures timely reporting, and acts as deputy point of contact for regulators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the MLRO in overseeing the AML/CTF framework and compliance monitoring program in Turkey.
  • Supervise the handling of suspicious transaction reports (STRs) and ensure timely regulatory filings.
  • Act as deputy contact for Turkish regulators and auditors when the MLRO is unavailable.
  • Support the development of AML policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Review and escalate high-risk cases or investigations as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of AML/compliance experience in financial services or crypto.
  • Strong understanding of AML/CTF legislation, sanctions, and regulatory reporting requirements in Turkey.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills, including regulator engagement.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CAMS) preferred.
