Overview
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Representative (FSR) within its aviation and satellite communications division. This role supports airline customers with advanced technical expertise for installation, maintenance, and problem resolution related to in-flight connectivity systems. The position sits at the intersection of commercial aviation, satellite communication, and internet technologies and may be based in Istanbul, Turkey.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Operational Support
• Work on complex assignments requiring judgment, initiative, and specialized technical knowledge
• Support all technical aspects of IFEC systems including installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, software loading, hardware replacement, and fault rectification
• Ensure all installation and maintenance activities comply with agreed contractual terms and procedures
• Review technical documentation including Installation Drawings, AMM amendments, TSMs, FIMs, and SBs
Airline & Vendor Coordination
• Interface directly with airline and vendor personnel
• Ensure aircraft are returned to service with fully functioning IFC systems
• Maintain effective day-to-day communication with airline partners and vendors
• Work closely with airline maintenance, engineering, and planning teams
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
• Provide comprehensive reporting of technical issues and resolution actions
• Escalate issues appropriately when required
• Monitor LRU repair workshop findings to identify trends
• Propose additional training or service bulletins based on recurring issues
• Assist with the development of improved installation and maintenance techniques
Training & Equipment Readiness
• Provide on-site guidance and technical training to airline or maintenance personnel
• Ensure all required tooling and equipment are available and up to date
• Complete assigned tasks to meet project schedules
Basic Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in aircraft maintenance, including electrical and avionics installations on commercial aircraft
• FAA A&P certification or equivalent regulatory authority certification
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong understanding of airline operations and applicable legislation
• In-depth knowledge of relevant aviation and satellite technologies
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and engineering schematics
• Strong customer service skills with international cultural awareness
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally, frequently and for extended periods
• Flexibility to work holidays, weekends, and varying shifts
• Associate degree in a related discipline preferred
