Welding & Coating Inspector.

QA/QC Manager / Project Manager.

Job Purpose:

-To ensure all welding and coating activities on pipelines, pressure vessels, and structural components meet Oil & Gas industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements for safety and integrity

Key Responsibiliti**

esWelding Inspection

  • :-Review WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications per ASME, API, and project code
  • s.Inspect joint preparation, fit-up, and welding parameters during fabrication and installatio
  • n.Perform visual inspections and coordinate NDT (UT, RT, MT, PT) for weld qualit
  • y.Verify compliance with standards such as ASME Section IX, API 1104, AWS D1.
  • 1.Document inspection results and issue NCRs for deviation

s.Coating Inspectio

  • n:Inspect surface preparation (blast cleaning, profile measurement) before coatin
  • g.Verify coating materials and application methods per NACE/SSPC standard
  • s.Monitor environmental conditions during coating operation
  • s.Conduct DFT measurements, holiday testing, and adhesion test
  • s.Ensure compliance with ISO and project-specific coating specification

s.General Dutie

  • s:Maintain inspection records and traceability for QA/QC documentatio
  • n.Liaise with contractors and project teams to resolve quality issue
  • s.Ensure adherence to HSE standards and project quality plan

s.Qualifications & Certificatio

  • nsDiploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fiel
  • d.Certification
  • s:Welding: CSWIP 3.1/3.2 or AWS CW
  • I.Coating: NACE Level I/II or FROSI
  • O.Minimum 10 years of Oil & Gas experience in welding and coating inspectio
  • n.Familiarity with offshore/onshore pipeline construction and fabricatio

n.Skil

  • lsStrong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW) and coating system
  • s.Proficiency in NDT and coating inspection tool
  • s.Excellent reporting and communication skill
  • s.Understanding of Oil & Gas safety and quality standard
