About the Project

We're developing a narrative-driven para-natural exploration game that blends survival-horror and RPG elements. The world is filled with unusual characters, immersive stories, and emergent gameplay. Our visual style draws inspiration from Dishonored, Life Is Strange, and Arcane. Painterly, impressionistic, and stylized.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Character Artist. The Character Artist will be responsible for designing and creating character art, including 3D modelling, and texturing, for immersive game environments. They will collaborate closely with other team members in the game development pipeline to ensure the highest quality of character assets. The role entails iterative refinement, creativity, and adherence to project timelines.

Responsibilities

Create high-quality, game-ready 3D characters including modelling, texturing, and materials. Optimize characters for real-time performance while maintaining visual quality. Collaborate with the art and design team to refine and iterate on designs. Deliver work according to agreed deadlines and technical specifications. Implement feedback through minor revisions and fixes.

Requirements

Strong portfolio showcasing 3D character modeling and texturing. Proficiency in Blender, Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, or similar tools. Experience with low/high-poly workflows, topology, rigging, and UV mapping. Understanding of PBR materials and in-game optimization. Self-motivated and communicative in a remote, collaborative environment.
