The 
TÜBİTAK 2232-A International Fellowship for Outstanding Researchers
 supports distinguished scientists and technologists who have achieved excellence in their field to conduct cutting-edge research in Türkiye. The program provides an attractive funding package for internationally recognized researchers wishing to carry out innovative projects in Turkish universities, research centers, or R&D-active private sector institutions.

Monthly scholarship for principal researcher: 
156,000 TL

Family allowance: 
12,000 TL

(if applicable)

Initial research grant: 
4,700,000 TL

Research project grant: up to 
2,400,000 TL

Scholarships for up to 5 graduate students or post-doctoral researchers

MSc: 19,000 TL (full) / 5,250 TL (part-time)

PhD: 27,500 TL (full) / 7,250 TL (part-time)

Postdoc: 36,500 TL (full-time)

Institutional share allowance (host institution): 
18,000 TL per month

Project incentive bonus: 
2,500 TL per researcher

Health insurance for researcher and family

Travel allowance for researcher and family (arrival tickets)

Mentorship support by Prof.Dr.Ayselin YILDIZ and two senior software engineers specilized on AI technologies.

Fellowship duration:

24-36 months

Eligibility Conditions

Applicants must:

Have not resided in Türkiye for more than one year in the past three years;

Hold a PhD and at least 3 years of post-doctoral or equivalent full-time research experience abroad;

Demonstrate 
research excellence

by one of the following:

  • Inclusion in Highly Cited Researchers List (Thomson Reuters) in the past 5 years,
  • At least 30 months of research in the last 5 years in one of:
  • Top 100 universities (QS or THE subject rankings)
  • Top 2500 industrial R&D companies (EU JRC scoreboard)
  • Top 250 research institutions (Scimago ranking)
  • Successful "unicorn" or high-investment start-ups.
