Job Description
We are seeking a
Procurement Engineer
who will be responsible for coordinating the procurement activities of raw materials, equipment, and technical supplies required for mining and construction projects. This role includes leading procurement processes in line with technical requirements, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during supplier negotiations, and optimizing pricing, delivery conditions, and quality standards. Additionally, tracking lead times, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring that material acceptance processes comply with quality requirements are key components of this position.
Responsibilities

Needs Analysis:
Collaborate with project teams to analyze procurement requirements for mining and construction projects.
•
Supplier Identification:
Research and evaluate potential suppliers capable of providing equipment, machine parts, consumables, and construction materials in line with technical specifications.
•
Negotiation Skills:
Conduct effective negotiations to secure advantageous pricing, delivery schedules, and contract conditions.
•
Supplier Relationship Management:
Establish and maintain strong, reliable, and sustainable relationships with suppliers.
•
Process Improvement:
Work closely with project, engineering, finance, and operations teams to enhance procurement processes for greater speed and efficiency.
•
Budget Alignment:
Ensure that all procurement activities are aligned with project budgets and financial plans.
•
Contract Management:
Oversee the preparation, execution, and follow-up of procurement-related contracts.
•
Risk Mitigation:
Identify risks such as delays, quality issues, or cost variances within the supply chain and take necessary preventive actions.
•
Continuous Improvement:
Develop new methods that enhance efficiency, cost savings, and transparency within the procurement process.
Qualifications
•
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
•
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or technical supply management within the mining, heavy industry, or construction sectors.
•
Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with mining equipment, machine parts, consumables, or technical materials.
•
Negotiation Skills:
Strong negotiation capabilities to secure favorable pricing and delivery conditions.
•
Analytical Skills:
Ability to develop procurement strategies, evaluate supplier performance, and conduct cost analysis.
•
Communication:
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and project teams.
•
Language:
Advanced level of English.
•
Technology:
Proficiency in MS Office; Power BI knowledge is a plus.
•
Mobility:
No travel restrictions.
