What skills do you have?

  • University bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related fields,
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on DBA experience, ideally in multi-customer or managed service environments,
  • Strong
    Oracle and PostgreSQL
    administration knowledge (installation, configuration, patching, tuning, troubleshooting),
  • Proven experience in database backup and recovery, using RMAN, Dataguard, pg_basebackup, Barman, or equivalent tools,
  • Experience with Oracle ASM, RAC, and Dataguard configurations,
  • Ability to analyze root causes across OS, storage, and database layers,
  • Understanding of performance analysis and tuning using AWR, ASH, EXPLAIN, and query plan analysis tools,
  • Experience supporting development teams on SQL and PL/SQL optimization, schema design, and indexing strategy,
  • Familiarity with database monitoring tools (Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, PMM, Grafana, Prometheus),
  • Strong sense of responsibility for operational continuity and data integrity,
  • Ability to handle multiple environments/projects concurrently,
  • Analytical mindset with structured problem-solving approach,
  • English reading and technical comprehension skills (documentation, logs, technical articles).

Nice-to have

  • Experience with cloud-based database platforms: AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, Azure Database, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure,
  • Basic scripting or automation experience: Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform,
  • Experience in migration or upgrade projects (on-prem → cloud, Oracle → PostgreSQL transitions),
  • Knowledge of Linux system administration fundamentals (especially storage and I/O optimization),
  • Experience with database security, auditing, and encryption mechanisms,
  • Exposure to containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes),
  • Experience working in SLA-driven, 24x7 operational teams,
  • Good communication skills for customer interaction (remote and occasional on-site),
  • Eagerness to learn and expand skill set across new technologies.
