Our client, a leading global retail chain, is looking for a Head of Reward who will report to the Finance Director.

Role Profile

Reason for hiring
: Support expansion in new countries, Support business with cost (mainly cogs) controls, Fulfill IFRS reporting responsibilities, Act as successor to FD.

Tasks/ Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all establishment, and financial support & reporting requirements of Entities are met.
  • Closely work with all teams in the company and act as project manager from Finance side. Coordinate 3rd parties to achieve set targets.
  • Support total business (TR & other countries) with cost controls, special focus on COGS with budgets, forecasts, actuals reporting. Act as financial advisory in this respect.
  • Fulfil IFRS reporting responsibilities; monthly IFRS reporting including inflation accounting, IFRS 16, deferred taxes with notes to the financial statements.
  • Support Finance Director with following:
  • Develop and oversee financial strategies, plans, and budgets to support the organization's long-term goals,
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, including long-term financial planning,
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards and oversee all aspects of financial reporting,
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure the organization's financial assets are protected,
  • Enhance the organization's financial capabilities to minimize risks,
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and financial regulations,
  • Closely partnering with functional leaders across a variety of finance related processes,
  • Manage administrative affairs

The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:

  • Tax and compliance in all Region
  • IFRS reporting, forecasting budgeting
  • Cash flow management
  • Administrative affairs management

Knowledge:

  • Tax and compliance
  • IFRS
  • Cash flow and bank relations
  • Administrative relations (Municipalities, Trade Registery, Fire Department)
  • Legal Part of Accounting: General Assemblies, Dividends etc.

Experience:

  • Min. 10 years of similar experience (retail industry is an asset), preferably in multinational companies having multiple business units.

Skills:

  • Multi-disciplinary
  • Ability to work with and influence team leaders
  • Exceptionally analytical with problem-solving abilities,
  • Good interpersonal and people management skills
  • Ability to work in matrix structure
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English,
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office

Additional role requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree or CPA preferred,
  • Strong background on IFRS financial statements and notes, IFRS 16, IAS29
  • Team management experience,
  • Experience with the relevant modules of the Hyperion and Oracle Finance is an asset,
  • Detail and result oriented, hands on.
