About the Role
We are looking for an Embedded System Software Engineer with at least 2 years of professional experience to develop firmware for microcontroller-based systems. You will develop and maintain software modules and peripheral drivers, contribute to unit and integration tests, investigate issues on target hardware, and collaborate with the hardware team. Qualifications & Experience
• At least 2 years of professional experience in embedded software development.
• Proficiency in C, including pointers, memory management, and bitwise operations.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers, HAL libraries, and basic register-level programming.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of UART, SPI, and I2C; working knowledge of interrupts, timers, and DMA.
• Ability to write modular, maintainable, and testable code; basic experience writing unit tests and using mocks with Unity/CMock, CppUTest, or equivalent tools.
• Ability to debug target software through SWD/JTAG and investigate hardware interfaces using an oscilloscope or logic analyzer.
• Ability to read electronic schematics and understand technical documentation in English, including datasheets and reference manuals.
• Experience with Git-based version control; familiarity with code reviews and technical documentation. Nice to Have
• Experience with STM32 microcontrollers and STM32CubeIDE.
• Knowledge of C++ or experience developing test automation scripts and tools in Python.
• Experience with FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or another RTOS, including task communication and synchronization.
• Experience integrating one or more of Ethernet, CAN, USB, and BLE.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI, automated builds, static analysis tools, and MISRA C guidelines.
• Experience with bootloaders, secure boot, or firmware update mechanisms such as OTA.
• Familiarity with safety-critical software development, requirements traceability, risk analysis, or FMEA.
• Experience configuring and running AI agents, setting up MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers, and integrating them with development tools; ability to build agentic workflows for code development, debugging, log analysis, and test automation, and validate generated outputs through code reviews and testing.
