Description:

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ("EBRD" or the "Bank") launched Green Economy Financing Facility Turkiye ("GEFF Turkiye") with EUR 521.5 million of finance goal to transfer strategic know-how and raise awareness about modern energy performance and environmental standards to contribute to the creation of a demand-driven, self-sustaining market for investments in high-performance technologies and services supporting a green economy that promotes equal access to finance for both men and women sub-borrowers.

Under GEFF Turkiye, credit lines are extended to local partner banks and leasing companies (each and jointly "Participating Financial Institutions" or "PFIs") for on-lending to SMEs, Corporate firms, and individuals.

To date, close to EUR 3 billion has been made available through these programmes by the EBRD (and other IFIs), having leveraged an additional EUR 1 billion in private sector investments. Over 1,000 companies and 1,500 households have been reached through financing provided through local banks, actively supporting objectives included in Türkiye's National Renewable Energy Action Plan (NREAP, adopted in 2015) and Türkiye's National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NEEAP, adopted in 2018).

The Facility aims to:

  1. increase financing intermediation for RE, ResE and environmental investments to fill the sector's remaining financing gaps in Türkiye,
  2. improve the banks' skills in project appraisal of a broader set of eligible technologies,
  3. increase private sector involvement in the development and financing of ResE and environmental investments,
  4. support a select number of PFIs and their clients to better integrate climate change-related risks into their approach to corporate governance,
  5. enhance end beneficiaries management of climate change-related business opportunities and risks and improve their capacity to share relevant data with PFIs and
  6. promote equal access to finance for both women and men-led sub-borrowers.

Eligible sub-projects under the Facility will include a broad spectrum of sectors: industrial resource efficiency, thermal rehabilitation of public and commercial buildings, and small-scale renewable energy investments and municipal sector.

We are looking to hire a MARKETING EXPERT for our office located in Istanbul, Türkiye.

This is an exciting role that needs the right mix of professionalism, maturity, and experience. This is a crucial position that provides first-rate Marketing support both internally and externally. The right candidate will be someone with a good deal of experience in an international organization, comfortable with the unique demands of working with both local and international clients and colleagues. We're looking for a role holder who needs no encouragement to be a proactive contributor of ideas, best practice suggestions and of course first-class work.

We are now looking for a Marketing Expert for GEFF Türkiye who will report to both the Project Manager and Lead Marketing Expert of the Facility.

Under the supervision of the Lead Marketing and Communications Expert, Key Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Create and Update Marketing Materials: Develop, update, and disseminate marketing materials that clearly outline the structure and benefits of the Facility. Ensure all materials recognize donor contributions in compliance with donor and EBRD requirements.
  2. Support Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs): Assist PFIs during press releases, seminars, and other events by producing joint marketing materials, including leaflets and direct mailings.
  3. Event Management: Organize events (e.g., fair participation, conferences) and prepare supporting marketing materials such as leaflets, posters, stickers, and online content.
  4. Promotional Events: Plan and execute workshops, regional seminars, webinars, and other promotional activities to enhance visibility and engagement with stakeholders.
  5. Awareness Campaigns: Design and implement targeted awareness-raising campaigns addressing both women-led and men-led sub-borrowers to promote green financing opportunities.
  6. Case Studies: Prepare detailed case studies highlighting financed sub-projects, and financing solutions across various sectors, investment types, and sub-borrower needs, including innovative financial products like green loans and trade finance solutions.
  7. Website Management: Maintain and regularly update the Facility website, adhering to the EBRD-provided templates to ensure consistency and relevance.
  8. Social Media Management: Oversee and grow the Facility's social media presence, focusing on LinkedIn to engage with a wider audience.

Qualifications:

  1. Preferably 5 years' experience in marketing
  2. Skilled in preparing compelling marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, case studies, and direct mailings, with a keen eye for donor recognition and branding requirements.
  3. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and execute promotional events, workshops, and seminars, ensuring high-quality marketing support and effective stakeholder engagement.
  4. Hands-on experience managing social media accounts (e.g., LinkedIn), online campaigns, and website updates, leveraging analytics to optimize engagement and visibility.
  5. Fluent spoken and written Turkish and English is essential.
