We are looking for an Engineering Manager in Çalık Enerji Headquarters - Engineering Division located in Istanbul.

Qualifications:

  • University degree from Mechanical or Electrical Engineering,
  • Minimum 15 years' experience and at least 5 years' experience in engineering management of combined cycle power plant, combined heat and power plant or thermal power plant projects,
  • Capable of managing multi-discipline engineering services of combined cycle power plant EPC projects,
  • Experienced in scheduling of multi-discipline engineering activities, effective time management, manpower management and reporting of engineering progress.
  • Experienced in engineering subcontracting, procurement engineering, risk management, change management and stakeholder management,
  • Experienced in engineering execution including technical reviews, design assurance and peer reviews as required.
  • Good understanding of multi-discipline engineering services, ability to read and understand PFD's, P&ID's, SLD's, control system architecture, plant layout and arrangement drawings,
  • Good knowledge of project material, equipment procurement and construction activities,
  • Ability to work in an international working environment and having international business sense,
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Leadership and managerial skills,
  • Good IT and analytical skills Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook),
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and work well under pressure,
  • Self-motivated and solution provider,
  • No restriction on travel.

Job Description:

  • Manage and pursue the project engineering and procurement engineering activities of the project at required quality, in timely manner and within the project budget,
  • Ensure compliance with the contract, codes and standards,
  • Schedule multi-discipline engineering & procurement engineering activities, follow-up schedule, develop action lists, resolve critical engineering, engineering related supply, construction and commissioning issues and make decision,
  • Perform coordination between parties, including design subcontractor, Customer, Owner, Owner's Engineer, Vendors and construction team,
  • Review multi-discipline documents and ensure performance of the systems and plant,
  • Support construction team in terms of resolving bottlenecks and accelerating engineering services.
  • Recognize and report changes to the scope of work, forecast schedule.
