JOB PURPOSE:

As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a seasoned SAP S4/HANA Data Migration Lead, to spearhead end-to-end data migration within our global ERP transformation program. In this critical role, you will design and execute the data migration strategy, ensuring high-quality data, supporting business continuity and operational efficiency. Acting as the primary liaison between business and technical teams, the lead oversees all migration activities, including data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation, while ensuring alignment with global standards and internal controls. The role is critical in mitigating risks, driving data readiness, and enabling a successful system go-live.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Define and implement a comprehensive data migration strategy, methodology, and roadmap for SAP and non-SAP systems.
2. Ensure alignment of migration plans with overall ERP transformation goals and business requirements.
3. Design and execute data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
4. Define scope, approach, and governance for data migration, including data retirement and archiving strategies.
5. Own data migration artefacts like Data Object Scope (DOS), Key Data Elements (KDE), Conversion Definition Documents (CDD), etc.
6. Act as the primary point of contact for all data migration-related activities, engaging with business, technical, and leadership stakeholders.
7. Conduct workshops and training sessions on migration requirements, validation processes, and lessons learned.
8. Address deviations from the global data model and ensure compliance with internal controls.
9. Lead multiple data migration test cycles (mock loads, validations, cutover rehearsals) to ensure system readiness before go-live.
10. Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure data migration landscapes, tools, and infrastructure are prepared.
11. Design and implement data migration test scripts and validation frameworks.
12. Oversee incident and defect management throughout test cycles and hypercare.
13. Manage and mentor a team of internal and external data migration specialists.
14. Develop and track KPIs for data migration, reporting status updates, risks, and mitigation plans.
15. Proactively address risks related to data cleansing, transformation, and migration execution.
16. Maintain comprehensive documentation of migration plans, risks, mitigations, and lessons learned.
17. Provide regular reporting and status updates to stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress, milestones, and any potential issues or challenges. Foster open communication channels to facilitate transparency and collaboration.

This role will exist in its current form for 2.5- 3 years.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

1. 5+ years of extensive experience leading SAP Data Migration projects or ERP transformations, including SAP S/4HANA migrations within the large multinational CPG companies
2. Strong expertise in SAP data structures, migration objects, and tools such as S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, Data Hierarchies, ETL processes, and Data Quality frameworks.
3. Full lifecycle ERP transformation experience within a manufacturing, supply chain, finance, or commercial environment, ideally in a large international CPG organization.
4. Familiarity with data migration toolsets, methodologies, and best practices to ensure adaptability across diverse migration approaches.
5. Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional, global teams in a matrix organization.
6. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills to drive collaboration between business and technical teams.
7. Track record of driving change, fostering innovation, and embracing an agile, growth-oriented mindset.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate business needs into practical data solutions.
9. Ability to proactively manage risks and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution of migration challenges.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across business and technical functions.
11. Excellent proficiency in written and verbal communication in English, with the ability to convey complex data migration concepts to diverse audiences.
12. Result-oriented with a strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
13. Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
14. Ability to travel globally to support market-specific requirements during design, build and deployment of the project.
