Our client, a leading global company in the energy sector, is looking for a Financial Planning and Controlling Director who will report to the Group CFO.

Role Profile

  • Oversee financial planning and analysis processes
  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements
  • Provide recommendations for improving the organization's reporting and financial controlling processes
  • Develop policies and procedures to monitor compliance and risk assessment and monitor their implementation
  • Ensure financial transactions comply with internal and external regulations
  • Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts.
  • Compare actual financial data with budgeted figures and conduct variance analyses
  • Monitor and analyze costs
  • Review and identify opportunities to reduce costs and expenses
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making processes
  • In cooperation with other departments and managers, develop KPIs customized for each Business Unit and departments to support long-term strategic objectives of the group
  • Monitor KPIs and identify the cause of any unexpected variances.
  • Measure financial and corporate performance of the Business Unit and prepare and present monthly and quarterly management reports to the Executive Committee
  • Implement a business intelligence tool and dashboard reports.
  • Support the management team with data-driven analysis.
  • Ad-hoc business performance reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, Master's Degree is a plus
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, budgeting, reporting, controlling, and or cost control functions
  • Experience in manufacturing, energy, or infrastructure industries in a similar role
  • Prior audit company experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented and ability to work and interpret figures and other financial information
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with SAP, ERP, or similar financial software
