What we look for:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in z/OS system administration.
  • Strong knowledge of IBM z/OS, JES2, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, RACF, and SMP/E, z/OSMF, OMVS, RMF, HMC, SCRT.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure optimal resource utilization. Ability to collect system reports from the environment, create performance reports and publish them.
  • Manage and optimize Parallel Sysplex environments, ensuring workload balancing, data sharing and system resilience.
  • Manage and configure system software, storage, and security components.
  • Experience with system monitoring and performance tuning tools.
  • Experience with automation tools such as REXX, JCL, or IBM System Automation. Develop and maintain system automation scripts and procedures.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts related to mainframe environments (VTAM, TCP/IP).
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Design and implement disaster recovery scenarios, take role in routine DR testing and DR site-switch.
  • Understanding of mainframe storage management (DFSMS, DASD, Tape).
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.
  • Experience with mainframe modernization projects.
  • Familiarity with cloud integration for mainframe environments.
  • Certification in IBM z/OS or related mainframe Technologies.
  • Support of z/OS environment in 7/24.
  • Support mainframe teams for common tasks and jobs.
