We are seeking a skilled Sommelier to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality staff, you will be responsible for overseeing our wine menu, providing recommendations to guests, and collaborating with winemakers to select the finest wines.

About the Role
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and update wine lists in collaboration with chefs and managers.
  • Offer expert food and wine pairing recommendations to guests.
  • Ensure the wine cellar is fully stocked and organized.
  • Inform guests about the variety of wines available.
  • Train wait staff on available wines.
  • Negotiate prices with vendors.
  • Organize wine tasting events.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Certification as a sommelier or a degree in hospitality is highly beneficial.
  • Prior experience as a sommelier, wine steward, or in a hospitality role.
  • Extensive knowledge of wines and regions from around the world.
  • Familiarity with local vineyards and wineries.
  • A thorough understanding of the wine-making process.
  • Ability to work long hours, weekends, and travel when necessary.
