About This Opportunity:

Siemens Gas and Power GmbH & Co. KG is seeking a talented Steam Turbine Commissioning Engineer to join its team in Ankara, Turkey.

This role offers the chance to work on the commissioning of steam turbines, ensuring seamless integration of all systems and meeting the highest technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning preparation, planning, and execution for steam turbines and associated systems
  • Conducting commissioning activities during cold and hot phases, including functional tests and logic interlocks verification
  • Reviewing test results and preparing detailed reports confirming compliance with technical specifications
  • Effective problem-solving and issue escalation, providing expert advice and technical assistance to support staff and subordinate technicians
  • Ensuring smooth turnover of systems from erection to commissioning and from commissioning to customer, adhering to project requirements and work instructions
  • Preparing as-built documentation, quality records, and commissioning reports
  • Participating in internal review meetings, providing inputs on commissioning activities, and supporting continuous improvement of process, product, and system design
  • Developing strong relationships with customers, as well as counterparts in Turkey and regional headquarters
  • Performing day-to-day tasks as part of a team or independently, and other duties assigned by management
  • Maintaining adherence to Siemens Energy's EHS process and quality standards

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering
  • 5 years of experience in field service environment
  • General profound understanding of technical equipment and ability to work with/based on technical documentation
  • Experience working with rotating equipment, such as gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators
  • Good general skills in mechanical, instrument, and control activities related to power generation equipment or the Oil & Gas industry, with a willingness to continuously work hands-on under time pressure and in challenging conditions
  • Experience working at a power plant is preferred
  • Knowledge of and working experience with rotating equipment, especially steam turbines, would be an asset
  • Strong analytical skills with an affinity for technology and innovation in the service industry combined with a proactive and convincing attitude
  • Knowledge and experience of SPPA-T3000 Control System would be an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, with good command of written and spoken English
