Our client, the Turkish subsidiary of a Germany-based global leader in its sector, is looking for a CFO responsible for Eurasia & Africa region (
Türkiye, Azerbaijan, UAE–Middle East, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, etc.)
.

Purpose of the Role

To manage all financial operations across the Eurasia & Africa region, supporting the company's sustainable growth through financial strategy, risk management, budgeting, and investment decisions. Ensure full alignment between regional financial performance and global objectives while optimizing profitability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy and Leadership

  • Develop and implement financial strategies for the Eurasia & Africa region in alignment with the company's overall goals.
  • Provide financial direction for regional growth, investment, and expansion plans.
  • Deliver strategic financial analyses, forecasts, and recommendations to the management team.

2. Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Reporting

  • Manage budgeting, cash flow, and long-term financial planning for all countries in the region.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and transparent preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports.
  • Define, monitor, and continuously improve key financial KPIs and performance metrics.

3. Risk Management and Compliance

  • Identify and mitigate risks related to foreign exchange, taxation, regulations, credit, and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial reporting standards (IFRS, local GAAP).
  • Oversee internal audit and control processes, implementing necessary improvements.

4. Financial Operations Management

  • Manage cash flow, funding, financial resources, credit limits, and investment decisions.
  • Drive profitability and cost optimization through efficiency and improvement projects.
  • Support the digital transformation and automation of financial processes.

5. Investment and Capital Management

  • Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and investment opportunities from a financial perspective.
  • Optimize capital structure and ensure efficient use of financial resources.
  • Conduct financial feasibility studies for new market entries and strategic partnerships.

6. Team Leadership and Organizational Development

  • Build, develop, and lead regional finance teams.
  • Promote competency development, performance tracking, and a leadership-oriented culture.
  • Strengthen financial awareness and accountability across the organization.

7. Corporate Governance and Reporting

  • Ensure regional financial operations are conducted ethically, legally, and sustainably.
  • Provide regular financial reports and analyses to the Board of Directors and Global CFO.
  • Manage audit, legal compliance, and financial review processes effectively.

8. Strategic Collaboration and Representation

  • Work closely with Operations, Sales, Production, and HR to integrate financial goals with business strategies.
  • Maintain communication with global management and ensure alignment between regional financial strategies and corporate objectives.

9. General Corporate Responsibilities

  • Act in compliance with the company's information security policies, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of financial, operational, and personal data.
  • Avoid any activities that could cause material or reputational damage to the company.
  • Fully comply with managerial instructions and company policies.
  • Contribute to departmental improvement initiatives and support the implementation of approved actions.
  • Participate in training activities assigned by the manager.
  • Prepare and deliver all required documents, data, and reports accurately and on time as required by the information flow system.
  • Understand and apply the requirements of the Quality Management System, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental Management System.
  • Control and properly dispose of waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Ensure that necessary occupational health and safety measures are in place and adhered to; use protective equipment as required (e.g., earplugs, glasses, safety shoes).
  • Perform additional duties assigned by management in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a relevant field of study.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in a
    CFO position
    .
  • Advanced level of English
    proficiency.
  • German proficiency
    at a good level is preferred.
