position, and the ideal candidate will possess strong design expertise, preferably within a media or journalism context, fluency in Arabic, and a proven ability to create compelling visual content across multiple platforms.

Role Overview:

As a Graphic Designer, you will play a central role in shaping the organization's visual storytelling. Your primary responsibility is to translate complex information into clear, engaging, and visually impactful content. You will design infographics, banners, and social media assets tailored for various digital platforms, ensuring that the organization's journalism is presented with clarity, credibility, and creativity. Collaboration with editorial teams will be key, as you will respond to emerging news with timely and relevant visuals.

Your main accountabilities will include:

  • Design Creation: Produce accurate and visually compelling infographics and graphics to communicate complex stories.
  • Digital Assets: Develop impactful social media assets and templates to ensure consistency and quality across platforms.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with editors and journalists to align visuals with editorial goals and news priorities.
  • Deadline Management: Prioritize and deliver high-quality visuals under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Innovation: Stay informed on design trends, tools, and technologies to continually strengthen the organization's online presence.

Qualifications and Skills:

We recognize that academic qualifications may not fully reflect creativity and capability, and therefore prioritize proven skills and experience over formal education. To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Experience: Previous experience in graphic design, ideally within a media or journalism setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or equivalents).
  • Creativity: A strong visual sense and ability to translate complex information into clear and engaging designs.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and balance speed with quality.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in Arabic to collaborate effectively with the editorial team.
