Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on
Cost & Budget Supervisor
to lead site and Monrovia-based activities in
cost tracking
,
unit-cost/KPI analysis
,
Budget vs Actual (BvA) reporting
, and
budget/forecast consolidation
. The role owns
P2P → ERP
cost accuracy, sets reporting cadence/standards, and delivers clear, executive-ready insights to site leadership and HQ.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Cadence:
    Set monthly cost reporting timelines, define templates/standards, review outputs from site teams, and present results to management.
  • Cost & KPIs:
    Track
    OPEX/CAPEX
    by cost center across mine, plant, and auxiliaries (fuel depot, emulsion, tyres, water plant, workshops, camp). Monitor
    unit costs
    and operational KPIs; highlight efficiency and cost-down opportunities.
  • BvA & Commentary:
    Produce monthly
    BvA packs
    with variance bridges (price/volume/mix), root-cause analysis, and corrective-action plans; follow up actions with owners.
  • Budget & Forecast:
    Coordinate annual budget inputs and rolling forecasts; manage driver assumptions and run scenarios/sensitivities.
  • P2P → ERP Accuracy:
    Reconcile
    PO–Contract–GRN–Invoice
    flows; ensure correct
    GL, cost center, activity/tax
    coding; maintain visibility of
    commitments/accruals
    .
  • Closing Support:
    Oversee month-end (accruals, reclasses), inventory & fixed-asset checks, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Data Discipline & Audit:
    Maintain calendars, definitions, and
    audit-ready
    documentation; support internal/external audits.
  • Cross-Functional Drive:
    Partner daily with
    Production, Maintenance, Warehouse/Logistics, Procurement, and HSE
    to secure complete, accurate data and execute corrective actions.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Industrial Engineering
    .
  • 5–8 years
    in
    cost/operations finance
    within mining, heavy construction, energy, or similar industrial environments.
  • Strong command of
    cost accounting
    ,
    BvA variance analysis
    ,
    cost-center
    structures, and budgeting cycles.
  • Proficiency with
    ERP
    (SAP / Microsoft Dynamics / Oracle / Logo) and
    advanced Excel
    (pivots, lookups, basic modeling).
  • Proven ability to
    lead reporting cycles
    , review others' work, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Fluent English
    (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work in a
    rotation-based site
    environment and travel between mine sites and Monrovia.

Preferred Qualifications

  • West Africa experience;
    working proficiency in French
    is an advantage.
  • Exposure to
    CAPEX project tracking
    ,
    inventory
    , and
    fixed-asset
    processes.
  • Big Four
    or multinational, multi-entity background.
  • Familiarity with
    unit-cost frameworks
    , scenario analysis, and concise dashboarding in
    Excel/PowerPoint
    (Power BI nice to have).
