QA Automation Engineer

QA Automation Engineer

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer with strong experience designing and executing automated test strategies for web and API applications. The ideal candidate is hands-on with Playwright, familiar with GitHub Copilot and MCP workflows, and able to collaborate effectively with development teams in an Agile environment. This role focuses on ensuring quality, reliability, and repeatability across fast-moving cloud-native platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright for UI and end-to-end testing.
• Support API and integration testing across distributed systems and microservices.
• Use GitHub Copilot and Model Context Protocol (MCP) effectively to accelerate test creation, improve consistency, and enhance engineering efficiency.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, and product teams to refine acceptance criteria and test cases.
• Ensure test coverage aligns with business priorities, performance expectations, and user flows.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Track defects, validate fixes, and ensure high-quality releases across web, API, and cloud components.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Maintain clear documentation for test cases, automation assets, and quality metrics.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5+ years of hands-on QA or QA Automation experience.
• Strong experience with Playwright for UI/E2E automation.
• Knowledge of GitHub Copilot for accelerating test code generation and productivity.
• Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations for context-aware automation and tooling.
• Experience testing web applications, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery and quality engineering practices.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps).
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python-based automation frameworks.
• Understanding of cloud environments (Azure preferred).
• Experience with performance testing, load testing, or security testing tools.
