Plant Electrical and Automation Maintenance Superintendent
to ensure the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of electrical and automation systems at the New Liberty Gold Mine. This position will play an active leadership role in maintaining operational continuity, developing automation technologies, establishing control strategies, and managing the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the daily tasks and performance of the Electrical & Automation maintenance team,
  • Ensure implementation of technical training, competency development, and safety discipline within the team,
  • Oversee the design, commissioning, and optimization of PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems,
  • Conduct performance analyses of automation and instrumentation systems,
  • Lead fault intervention, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement activities,
  • Establish and manage alarm management, cybersecurity, and data acquisition systems,
  • Supervise the Electrical & Automation Supervisor and coordinate all engineering activities,
  • Oversee processes related to backup power systems (UPS, generators, etc.)
  • Support system integration, design, and budgeting in new projects.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Electrical Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering

  • Experience:
    Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in electrical and automation. Previous site-based and team management experience is preferred.

  • Technical Skills:
    Advanced knowledge of Rockwell Automation software: RSLogix5000 / Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View SE/ME, FactoryTalk Historian. Proficiency in PLCs (especially Rockwell & Siemens), DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems. Experienced in industrial communication protocols: Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP. Strong background in DAS (Data Acquisition Systems). Skilled in electrical & automation maintenance processes and work order management. Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs.

  • Soft Skills:
    Strong leadership and team coordination skills. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Effective communication in English (reading, writing, and speaking)

  • Additional Requirements:
    Ability to work in a multicultural and remote mining environment.
